Clinic Safety

Please be advised of the following policies and procedures at Bliss Body, LLC in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • You will receive a pre-screening questionnaire along with appointment reminder emails (24 hours before your scheduled appointment).

 

These questions will include:

 1.) Have you or anyone in your household tested positive for COVID-19 or are awaiting test results for COVID-19?

 2.) Have you or anyone in your household come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or are awaiting test results for COVID-19?

 

 3.) Have you or anyone in your household had any of the following symptoms in the last 72 hours?:

- Fever (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher) or feeling feverish

- New chills or shaking with chills

- New cough or sore throat

- New headache

- New shortness of breath

- New digestive issues, specifically diarrhea

- Any new overall body aches/soreness (other than normal)

- Lost your sense of smell or taste

- New fatigue

- Red, itchy rash on feet/toes or skin sores

 4.) Have you traveled outside of Massachusetts in the last 2 weeks?

  • We will not be treating any patients with suspected or known cases of COVID-19 in our clinic. If your screening indicates the potential for infection, please contact us to reschedule. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, you must be symptom-free for 14 days before returning to our clinic. No patients will be seen if they or someone in their household are awaiting COVID-19 test results or have had exposure to anyone that has tested positive.

  • Each patient must sign a COVID-19 informed consent/acknowledgement before scheduling any appointments (this is a one-time necessity).

  • Only one patient will be seen in the office at a time.

  • If a patient needs a parent or attendant with them during the appointment, the individual must also wear a mask and be screened. Please advise us if you require an attendant during your appointment ahead of time.

  • There will be no waiting room area usage. Please text us at (978) 812-4125 from the parking lot when you have arrived for your appointment. We will text you back when it is appropriate to enter the building.

  • Please leave any unnecessary items in your car or at home to reduce the potential for contamination (water bottles, bags, etc.).

  • Please provide and wear your own mask before entering the building and for the duration of your appointment. We cannot treat patients who aren't wearing a mask. Your practitioner will also be wearing a mask.

  • Upon entering the building, please come to the top of the stairs where your practitioner will greet you. You will have your temperature taken at this time with a touchless forehead thermometer. You will be screened again with the same questions from your email.

  • If all is well with screening, you will be asked to wash your hands with soap and running water in the bathroom before entering the treatment space (you may choose to use hand sanitizer as an alternative).

  • There will be alcohol-based hand sanitizers throughout the office for your use.

  • Depending on your particular treatment, you may be asked to sit in a non-cloth chair in the front room of the office (chair is disinfected between every patient) or guided straight to the treatment room.

  • We have a custom-made vinyl drape for the treatment table, disposable table paper and a vinyl pillow for your use during treatment (table and vinyl coverings are disinfected after each patient). If you would like a very lightweight fleece throw blanket over you during treatment, we will provide one that is immediately placed in the laundry after one patients use. No other linens are being used.

  • Your practitioner washes their hands with soap and water between patients and uses at least 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizer in the room before treatment and before coming into contact with the patient after touching anything else.

 

  • We encourage touchless payments for all patients (Venmo & PayPal are great options). If paying by check, please come with it pre-filled.

  • Follow-up appointments may be scheduled in the treatment room before leaving or via email post-appointment.

  • All "high-touch"surfaces (door handles, faucet, table, chairs, etc.) are disinfected between each patient with EPA-registered hospital grade disinfectants. A record of cleaning times are available for your viewing upon request.

  • Your practitioner has been extremely well-trained in universal and standard precautions, sanitization, clinic and patient safety as a Licensed Acupuncturist under the Board of Registration in Medicine in Massachusetts. These practices have always been adhered to in this clinic and any additional standards specific to COVID-19 have been fully implemented.

  • If your practitioner becomes exposed to COVID-19 or comes to find out they have treated a patient who receives a positive COVID-19 test, all patients who have been in the office 14 days prior will receive notification by phone or email, the practitioner will self-quarantine for 14 days and the office will be thoroughly disinfected before re-opening. If practitioner has a positive COVID-19 test, they will not return until at least 14 days symptom-free.

  • We will make available to all patients our more detailed COVID-19 Exposure Control Plan and related documents in the office, upon request.
